53
- (a)a name and symbol expressed in this Part, or in any publication referred to in this Part, that appears to be similar to the name and symbol of the unit of measurement so used, shall be deemed to be that unit of measurement; and
- (b)the conversion factors to the International System of Units (SI) stated in this Part shall apply; or
- (c)where a conversion factor is not stated in these Regulations, the value of the unit of measurement shall be determined from the publication of the Standards Association of Australia entitled Australian Standard 1376-1973 “Conversion Factors” and if the value of the unit of measurement is not therein available, from the publication of the British Standards Institute entitled British Standard 350 — 1974 “Conversion Factors and Tables”, or if the value of the unit of measurement is not therein available from any publication deemed by the Director to be appropriate.
