[FAR 14] Letting at excessive rent14

(1) During the currency of a determination any person who is bound thereby shall not let the dwelling house which is the subject of the determination at a rent which exceeds the fair rent nor shall he or she demand, require or receive any rent therefore exceeding the fair rent.
(2) Any person contravening any of the provisions of this section shall be guilty of an offence and liable to a fine not exceeding $200.
(3) Any sum received in excess of the fair rent in contravention of the provisions of subsection (1) may be recovered by the person who has paid it from the person who has received it in an action for debt in any competent court.
