[COM 418] Cancellation at request of registered person418

(1) Where a person who is a registered auditor or liquidator or registered as an auditor or liquidator of a specified company or managed investment scheme requests the Ministry of Justice to cancel his or her registration, the Ministry of Justice may cancel the registration of that person as an auditor, as a liquidator or as an auditor or liquidator of that company or managed investment scheme, as the case may be.

(2) A decision by the Ministry of Justice under subsection (1) to cancel the registration of a person who is a registered auditor or liquidator or registered as an auditor or liquidator of a specified company or managed investment scheme, comes into effect as soon as practicable upon the making of the decision.
