[CP 10] Procedure to make an arrest10

(1) Any police officer or other person authorised by this Act or any other law to make an arrest, shall actually touch or confine the body of the person to be arrested, unless the person submits to custody by word or action.
(2) If a person forcibly resists an arrest, or attempts to evade the arrest, all means necessary to effect the arrest may be used by the police officer or person authorised by this Act to make the arrest.
(3) Nothing in this section justifies the use of greater force than is reasonable in the particular circumstances of the arrest, or is necessary for the apprehension of the offender.
