[CP 148] Where original court was not competent to try subsequent charge148

Subject to any provision of any law creating any offence, a person convicted or acquitted of any offence constituted by any acts may, notwithstanding the conviction or acquittal, be subsequently charged with and tried for any other offence constituted by the same acts which he or she may have committed, if the court by which the person was first tried was not competent to try the offence with which he or she is subsequently charged.
