138
(1) Every person appointed to the office of a Notary Public shall cause his or her name to be enrolled in a book to be kept for that purpose in the office of the Registrar and to be called the Roll of Notaries Public, and shall be entitled to a certificate of enrolment under the seal of the court and no person whose name has not been enrolled as aforesaid shall be entitled to perform the duties of a Notary Public within Fiji.
(2) The Chief Justice may, in his or her discretion, strike off the Roll of Notaries Public a person who in the Chief Justice’s opinion is no longer a fit and proper person to be a Notary Public.
