RECOGNISANCE OF BAIL OF APPELLANT

Be it remembered that whereas .................................. was convicted of ................. on the ................. day of................. 20.., and was thereupon sentenced to ................. and now is in lawful custody in ................. Prison and has duly appealed against his or her conviction (and sentence) to the Court of Appeal and has applied to the Court of Appeal for bail pending the determination of his or her appeal and whereas the Court of Appeal has granted him or her, bail on his or her entering into his or her own recognisance in the sum of $.. and with ................. sureties each in the sum of $.. the said .................................. personally comes before me and acknowledges himself or herself to owe to the State the said sum of $.. of good and lawful money of Fiji to be made and levied of his or her goods, chattels, lands and tenements, to the use of the State if he or she the said................. fail in the condition hereon endorsed. CONDITION

The condition of the above written recognisance is such that if he or she the said .................................. shall personally appear and surrender himself or herself at and before the Court of Appeal at each and every hearing of his or her appeal to such court and at the final determination thereof and to then and there abide by the judgment of the said court and not depart or be absent from such court or any such hearing without the leave of the said court, and in the meantime not to depart out of Fiji, then this recognisance to be void or else to stand in full force and effect.
